Pod is probably the best bet because you need the storage. I wanted to use them when we were moving but we didn’t have a driveway to put it in.

We used All My Sons and I thought they were excellent. Quick, efficient, same group of guys that packed it up unpacked it at our new house, and nothing broken or damaged. They were on the upper end of prices but not the most expensive quote I got. I would use them again.

We helped a relative make an interstate move. Arranged it through Pods. They referred us to a crew to hire to load the pod, which was then shipped to the destination city and held in storage until remodeling of the new house was finished. They then dropped off the pod at the new house when we asked for it, and a local crew they referred us to unloaded.

All went well, and the items just sat in the pod the whole time. No unload/store/reload/deliver/unload required at the destination city. Just store in pod, deliver to new home, and unload. Fewer touches equals fewer chances of damaging or losing items.

It's been several years, but I recall that using a traditional moving company was going to cost lots more and was less flexible.
