Christian McCaffrey and Leonard Fournette started this trend of sitting out bowl games. They ruined the college football postseason like Kevin Garnett ruined college basketball.

Fournette had a high-ankle sprain that nagged him the entire season long (got it from a pre-season scrimmage). He missed 5 full games that season, including the last nine quarters of his college career.

Yes he never even played college ball so how could he ruin it?
What was ruined was the perception of the need of bowl games, of college sports in general. It used to be that you needed to have a good bowl game, that you needed to be good in college to get on the pros’ radar. Fast forward to now… we talk about guys in high school who should be #1 picks now
