1) You have no idea if this is true. It did not help him at all in the General Election (it likely helped him the Primary). He did not get a bump until, you guessed it, the debates in which he dominated. He won by a slim margin in a Blue Wave year, a year in which the vast majority of Trump candidates in close races lost.
2) Who cares?
What did he do once he became Governor? He kicked arse then won by 20.
You people are fricking weird with this. So what if Trump endorsed him? What is the relevance?
