For those unaware: Rice offers seating on 'The Hill' (the outfield) on the cheap. Tickets are $10. It's BYOB. Grills are available to cook on as well.

That's a good question. Not sure who's home and away yet I think.

quote:Yes according to the Astros website, teams listed second are the home team and home team uses 1st base dugout. I got mine today.
I assume LSU will be in the visitor (3rd base) dugout? Anyone know?

I understand jumping on premium seats, but they’re not gonna run out of tickets

Got the last two in Daimond club for LSU/UT game. Thanks for the post!

Scooped up four tickets. Looking forward to it.

Thanks for the heads up! Just bought my tickets for Friday’s game.

They actually did one year. I took this approach and was going to buy day of, and the only tickets available were on the secondary marketplace for marked up prices.

That's a great experience. The seats, sounds of the game, and amenities are awesome.
However, it is weird to explain, but the food is barely average. The standard nachos and hot dogs are the same as the stadium and what you would expect, but the specialty concessions such as La Stella, Osso, and Killens bar-b-q in the main Minute Maid concourse are much better than the buffet stuff they have in the Diamond Club. It is basically Aramak workers trying to make specialty pizzas and grilled seafood.
That said, I doubt either will be the same setup they have for Astros games.

They almost did the last time we played there. They only open up a certain number of seats, not the whole stadium.

I came here to post this if anyone hadn't yet. Scooped mine for all three days, can't wait to see this team in action.

Yeah, I've been fortunate enough to experience sitting there before. I agree with your assessment and doubt the setup will be the same. Not even sure what amenities we'll actually get with the tickets, but figured it was worth a shot.

two years ago tickets for the LSU vs Texas game sold out, so they opened up the 200 level and sold those out as well.

Same here with the Astros a few times, and everyone in our party basically said they wished they would just have the concourse selections down there. That small disappointment was made up for though by the ice cream bar and bottomless Tanqueray and tonics delivered to your seat, and having Tony Kemp of the A's ask your kid's name and chat them up while in the on-deck circle.

No doubt. I wish I had grabbed a few down there before they sold out. It really is a blast.
