Headed to NOLA for the semi-final game. We are looking to have dinner on the 31st, brunch on the 1st, and brunch on the 2nd. Been before but wanting to try some new stuff.

Gimme your favorites around the French Quarter, please.
Gonna be 3 of us.

In and around the quarter it’s been : Peche, Broussards, Brennans, ACME, Port of Call.
Just what I remember off top of my head. May go back to Brennans or Broussards.

Mr. B's
Galatoire's
Arnaud's
GW Fins
Italian Barrel

Not an exclusive list by any means. You may want to sift through listings on Open Table. It may be more of where you can get in than where you'd like to get in.

Was at Brennan's in August. It was horrible. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Last time I was in NOLA, I took a bunch of coworkers to Cafe Mespero on Decatur. Used to be my go-to for great, cheap food.
My supervisor ordered gumbo on my recommendation and said it was terrible.
We asked one of the guys from the kitchen how they prepare it, and he said that some conglomerate had bought up that place, and a bunch of others in the Quarter, and they are all using canned gumbo base.
Very disappointing.
Long story short, venture out from the Quarter if you can.
I did eat at Mother's as well (breakfast) and it was great as usual...
