it's been this way for years now. People have always just looked at the end results and said, "see, the end result means we're right to disregard on field results and say someone else is better."

It's time we bring back the Mythical National Champion moniker and we can retroactively attach it to years past as well.

The CFP committee got every year right as far who should be the 4 in except last year and this year. Last year TCU, as a team who did not win their conference, was not unequivocally one of the 4 best teams, and this year leaving out undefeated ACC champ for one-loss Big 12 champ.
