Every scene David Attenborough says something like
Tell the kids Attenborough is a partisan advocate, and explain why they should ignore his expressed opinions.
At some point, they'll need to learn that trust in what they are told is not always a good thing, anyway.
Why not use a great nature series to bring that point home?
You can also point out the ridiculous sound effects added for entertainment value. Like the crunching sounds of coral or plants moving in time-lapse photography. Or a chameleon eating a bug to the soundtrack of a horse eating hay.
But nonetheless, watch it with the kids. They will learn volumes.

We do that. It's just a shame what has become of it all.
