A conclusion they reached with personal biases. They’ll find things that support their views or twist it to fit their already decided conclusion.

That's not how it’s supposed to work but it’s a huge problem in academia particularly in certain fields like this in which they are basically interpreting and extrapolating due to lack of hard evidence
