re: Have you ever done anything epic and haven't told anyone?

Had a home in the middle of a swampy area that had a pool. Yard was surrounded by a fence, but behind the fence was a pond on one side and a huge coolie on the other. Part of my yard was outside of the fence as well, so I had to keep it up.

One day my kids are swimming and I am on the other side of the fence. I see a beautiful, big copperhead coming out of the pond area headed right towards the fence. If it got under the fence, it wasn't going to be too far from where my kids were swimming.

I called out to the ex to bring me a shovel because I didn't want to take my eyes off of it. Of course, asking her for anything required a lengthy explanation, and I didn't have time for it after that as this thing was almost to the fence.

So, I did what any moron would do. I ran up behind it, picked it up, then snapped that MFer like a bullwhip up against a huge oak tree. I could feel it go limp in my hands. Killed it on the first strike. Threw it in the coolie and went on about my business.

I still feel like a stud to this day when I think about that.
