For this specific issue? Yes, factually and inarguably absolutely.
Republicans are also responsible for plenty of dumb shite, but the soft on crime abolish the police and stop prosecuting criminals issue is almost 100% a democrat issue. It’s part of the current national party platform and has filtered down to most major urban areas in the country. The current democratic administrations in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge literally ran on a platform of “let’s not prosecute criminals anymore” and they won in landslides.

He got prosecuted and is going to prison for a long time
This isn't exactly exhibit fricking A of your gripe with lack of prosecution
