Realistic criticism of defense under house

I’ve defended house in every post and thread but I don’t see anyone talking about an issue with the defense that may be down to a position coach issue, but I think we all have seen at one time or another the better players not playing in some instances. Whether it was Perkins not playing in games like Tennessee, or Weeks losing reps to Speights when he came back, or it taking so long to see some reps for swinson, Shand or other edge rushes over savion (who based on last year I thought would wreck stuff this year) it seems like we missed some opportunities early in both years to evaluate who was better or who helped the team more.

What about Sage Ryan unable to complete a leaping tackle on a slow tight end? But even worse I wasn't even surprised coming from him.
Or Major Burns wrestling move a guy into the end zone only to talk shite after?
Or how the Dline hand fights at the line of scrimmage

It's mechanics. It's coaching the details and piss poor evaluation.

You don’t handcuff a freshman all American like Perkins unless you don’t know what you’re doing! House is in over his head recruiting as well! Needs to go

House has been bad but this is the most over blown talking point on the rant. They actually figured out a very effective way to use Perkins.

Who hired the defensive coaches? That’s where the problem started. Who didn’t put a spy on Milroe? While 99% of message board sports fans are total morons, most of the drunk guys on this board even knew we should put a spy on him by the second half. And at the end of the game, BK even fessed up to that. It’s House. I don’t care if TM likes him, maybe he was good in the pros. But you cannot tell me this is a well coached defense. The problem is with House.

Everything you typed after this is on the DC and ultimately the head coach.
It is one of the many reasons House has to go.

One of my main criticisms was the refusal to decrease the space the CB’s were giving at the line of scrimmage. We rarely played bump coverage on the outside with creative blitz techniques. We just flat refused to mix it up on 3rd down, when the statistics screamed for changes.
You just can’t continue to play off man 15 yards back on 3rd and 6+. The only time I saw is effectively attack an offense was the 2nd half of aTm.

Do you know anything at all about football? Perkins HAD to drop into coverage more because of lack of bodies. House could hardly ever go to a dime or nickel package because of that.
It was actually a great move. You are just another simpleton. Problem with lack of personel, fire the DC. Learn a little something before you come here and make a fool of yourself

There is NO DEFENSE of Pennywise the House clown at all.
BTW, Semjase is not a stereotypical "Band Geek" type. I was a Strong/Free Safety at Mandeville HS as a freshman, sophmore and junior. I was determined to attend LSU at any cost, so I transferred to Choctawhatchee HS and focused on Band as a Senior; transferred back to Mandeville for the Spring to graduate.....
