That was my thoughts exactly. How do you watch what unfolded in front of you knowing that Nuss can spin the ball as well, and leave? Makes no sense.

Because he barely played this year. Had a drop or 2 early on and got put in the doghouse. Play your 5* or they leave. The reality of the modern college football world.
The BK strategy of dealing with young players or players that he feels aren't following his "process" needs to change.
