da four-tree defense

this front is the most outdated defensive scheme in the country.
it leaves your linebackers and defensive tackles vulnerable when running twist stunts since it puts our slowest men on the field in position to contain very mobile dual threat qbs we faced throughout the year.
Our LBs are then left in a position to either leave their zone or attack the qb escaping... this allows for opponents WRs to become wide open.
or LBs stay in zone allowing the qb to run day and night.
makes no sense moving forward to line up 3-4 Nose guards across the line of scrimmage.
Coach Kelly if your read this please hire me

Presumably you graduated in 1992. Do grown ups talk like that?

We do not have a true nose tackle.
75% of the time it is 4–2–5. Only 4-3 on first down. Even then probably less than 50%

I like the 3-4 defense me. Put a 340lb tackle at nose. With two 300lb defense ends. 2003 defense with Lee(rip) and Spears was ideal.

4 down is fine, but the key is there has to be pressure with 4 and the alternative 5 closing in on the backfield. The rest depends on that.

4-3
3-4
don’t matter if you’re getting like 9 sacks total out of your starting front 4.

You mean Big Marquise (Hill)? I only ask because we had no one with either the first or last name "Lee" on the 2003 team, Hill and Spears were the big ends and Hill drowned in Lake Pontchartrain in 2007 (thus your "RIP").
Oh, and imagine that 2003 defense with either the 2019 or 2023 offense. Or the 2011 defense.

Ive seen the front four play the same gap almost 50% of the snaps this year.

80% is more like it, and OP's comment was around stunts/twists....and LSU doesn't know what those are, so his entire argument was flawed.
