I really believe we could hire Georgia’s whole staff and still wouldn’t win. There’s just a loser mentality surrounding the whole athletic department. That and no money.

The facilities are the worst in the Sun Belt. You just can't recruit like that. And I think he probably stepped down rather than got fired. Those four losses on the final play in five games just broke him.

He didn’t step down. I personally heard him say they needed to give him more time rather than moving on and starting all over again.

It’s the whole department. Football, basketball, and baseball are all near the bottom of the conference (and therefore all of Division 1) every year. Traditional thinking is not going to work with our limited resources. It’s going to take a radical change in mindset to have any chance at success.

while not great I think they’ve been trying their best to update them lately. The issue is they waited too long so the amount it would take to catch up is insane.

We really need a student fee to help fund the athletic department. We were close to quietly getting one passed when I was in school but someone with pull on campus (also an athlete frustratingly) caught wind of it and led a huge campaign to got it shot down. What pissed me off when I competed was the amount of students that would bitch and moan about the sports sucking and then shoot down anything that was done to attempt to improve it. It was maddening.
