I deleted my account a few years ago but it’s funny because this was my reason for deleting then

My feed was no longer normal people, but just a bunch of “journalists” and news agencies being promoted and all the replies were from “verified” users (the vast majority of which were left leaning viewpoints) and it took forever to scroll to find actual real people commenting.

the whole platform just lost normal, everyday accounts posting normal stuff so as a normal, everyday user it just lost all appeal for me. I didn’t need another news aggregator or discovery engine for influencers, politicians, celebrities or “journalists”/bloggers
