Wouldn't a 5% decline in reported cancer deaths -v- the baseline period due to healthcare shutdown/delay in 2020 yield a similar increase over the baseline on the other side of the shutdown/delay?

Good question. However, it's my understanding that surgeries were suspended for quite some time. Thus, someone diagnosed with colon cancer may have had to wait months for the resection. Can't be good for the survival stats. Meaning, deaths may be occurring that wouldn't normally have taken place.

Then there should have been a more pronounced decline in 2020 and perhaps it should have extended into 2021 and 2022, which would mean the spike caused by the vaxx (or whatever you want to attribute it to) is even greater because it's being muted in the data by lingering shutdown/delay effects. In that case it would, for example/perhaps - 10% decline over a two year period caused by shutdown/delays in healthcare versus an ensuing 40% spike in cancer deaths.
