Yes I’m from LaPlace and went to it at least a couple of times in the 70s. Good times. It was a pretty big deal in the River Parishes. People came from LaPlace, Reserve, Lutcher and Gramercy for the festivities.

I asked my dad about this yesterday and he remembered it well. He confirmed that my grandpa participated in this many times. My grandpa was a tulane alum and played cornerback and punter in the 40's
