Tommy Casanova may have been the best football player, regardless of position, in college his senior year. He was on a SI cover that said just that prior to that season.
But i cannot rate him as the most "dominant" player, because in the defensive backfield, you could throw in another direction. And, teams didn't rely on the pass as much.
He was a deadly return man, but that is not a position on defense.
Respect to No. 37, but a few others were more "dominant" on defense.
