It's the same as with a gas vehicle. Yes, if you want a new car every 2-3 years, leasing can be a viable option.

Hidden cost: Mot EV's are very expensive to insure versus an ICE vehicle. They get totaled easily and collision parts are not always readily available. Just ask any Tesla owner.

My Tesla Y cost me 800 every 6 months. I have paid $0 for maintenance in 3 years. My 328 bmw cost $300 every time at a dealership

Only true disadvantage is that tires are a little expensive

Also they are more susceptible to spontaneous combustion
