JB would have been out of last night's game, possibly by the 2nd quarter. Literally inconceivable he would have stayed in until the penultimate possession late in the 4th.
In what way could Daniels have been better last night? He literally scored a touchdown on every possession. And he didn’t need to play the second half, he played it because he was chasing Burrow’s td record.

quote:You misunderstand. He couldn't have been better. But it was extra reps that Burrow never would have had. As it turns out, LSU didn't have a creampuff scheduled in November in 2019. But you can bet your arse had they played Georgia State, Burrow WOULD NOT have been playing late into the 4th quarter.

It was outwardly (and admittedly by JD5) a gambit to beat Burrow's record and up the Heisman profile. I have no problem with that. But let's be up front about recognizing it as such.
