This is tricky because playing the #92 FCS school, you could treat it as a built in bye week and let your backups get experience. However, being senior night makes it hard to bench the seniors. Just such an unnecessary way for your best player to go down. Give him a ceremonial snap and let the walk ons and backups play for your created bye week by scheduling 50 pt underdogs.

Just shut up already.

Stop playing weak schedules all year long?

Depends.
1. JT was still an outsider for the Heisman.
2. It's senior night. Gotta play the starters at least for the first half.

Not that I agree with the premise of this entire thread, but that's kinda his point.

Well considering FSU was already down 13-0 when Travis got hurt, I’d say your logic is pretty flawed.

Games like this are the super bowl of an FCS team’s season. Taking it easy is how upsets happen. Play your starters and hope you run up a big lead early so you can comfortably take your stars out the game in 3rd or early 4th

Some could call this a slick way of adding a bye week. They could see this as program karma. I don’t see it that way but it’s the scuttlebutt amongst some group chats. Id wager to say FSU is still 28 pt favorites on live lines but at what cost?

Against the #92 FCS team, you deserve to fall out of the polls
