Yes, that is a big difference. The OJ criminal jury did not believe OJ killed the victims BRD, while the KR jury acknowledged that KR did kill the victims but (correctly, IMO) found that his actions were legally excused for criminal purposes.

Not sure why you think that works to KR’s advantage in a civil trial, where the plaintiff’s BoP is lower.
