re: Saying goodbye

It’s strange. I can strongly empathize with you but I never really had a grandparent experience.

By the time I came along both my grandfathers were gone and only my mother’s mother was alive. She was born in 1896.

She was more like an aunt because she lived with my mom‘s stepsister and cared for those kids.

So I never really had any kind of interactive relationship with a grandparent.
I don’t know what kind of Grandfather I would be.
