Bought a little over an acre a while back

Jealous. We waited too long a now the price for acreage is too damn high. Could move to the St Amant area but I hear that my kind aren't too welcome in those parts

We seriously lucked up. End of a single lane road. 1.38 acres and it wasn't as expensive as you think it should be in our area. An older man bought about 11 acres for cheap and started dividing it out and didn't seem to care what the going rate was for land but just wanted to make a little money

my kind
I don't know what your kind are but I've been in the area since '77. I've seen no problems. I'd be surprised if feelings weren't hurt along the way but the large majority will support our neighbors. I've been to a few sporting events lately after a few years absence. I noticed a lot of different colored skin on the field, in the stands and in the band. Black & white kids along with some in between roaming the area like normal. BUT I think there was even more mixing than ever before. I could tell many more stories but you get the point. If someone will sell you some land there is a very good chance the neighbors will either be friendly or just ignore you. Many ignore me. It has nothing to do with skin color. LOL.
