It really is an amazing drug. Targets PCSK9 as well, without the statin side effects.

1:250 to be accurate. So this drug would only be for .3% of the population. Repatha does drop ldl into the teens, but investors were disappointed to learn that the reduction in mace was not linear, suggesting that under a certain point, there is no benefit and reducing LDL. Thomas Dayspring is the only person people need to listen to on cholesterol advice. Statin data can show a modest reduction in mace, but the idea is if you can do 10 of these things you can make a big difference in your health. It looks like the new weight loss drugs,GLP-1 are just as effective in reducing mace, and they’re finding benefit without weight loss, suggesting there is something intrinsically beneficial about the drug, and not just weight loss.

The benefit in a statin pales in comparison to the benefit of being less than 20% body, fat, walking 10,000 steps a day, zone 2 140 minutes a week, zone 4 10 minutes a week. In that order. After that you can worry about macros.
