I will tell you my partners daughter got married a few years back. She is conceited like her mother.
We gave them $750 cash. We received a copy of thank you note she scribbled out. Non-specific, just a general thank you note that she obviously made copies of and sent out to everyone.
If you are going to do a thank you note, then do one. If you aren't then don't. A half assed attempt is actually rather insulting. Would have been better for them to not send out thank you notes.
