Just as Who Dat said it is a roller coaster in the NICU. we spent a 1.5 months in one in Ohio with our daughter we adopted. We were away from our home in Texas for this with no support from family and friends except phone calls. We relied on our faith to keep us strong.

We prayed for her always and what i wanted to happen with a miracle with fast healing didnt happen. But a long battle where we were tested. Cling to your wife and this will make your life together stronger. This will go as God has it planned. We may not like exactly how it plays out but there is a purpose for the way it turns out.
Is it to bring you and your wife to salvation? When we become desperate many times we give up and look to God.
Put your faith in God and you are doing that now asking for prayer. As her father you stand in the gap and pray for her.
Praying for your little girl and for you and your wife.
