Not sure if it was a conspiracy, but . . .

Jimmy Sexton has been manipulating schools and teams and cashing in since the 1980s. I saw somewhere where he represents 11 of the 14 head football coaches in the SEC.
He is easily able to play both sides and coerce bigger contracts for his coaching clients.

I think it's plausible that Woodward wanted to kick the tires on Fisher. But it was fishy that TexAgs was all over the Fisher "rumors" first and the Liucci guy was going around bragging that LSU was trying to steal him away from A&M. (Liucci once predicted Dave Aranda was going to be DC at A&M, remember?)

My question for the Rant is, what do you care what we pay for our coach? We've never had a problem firing and hiring people. (OK, we did once, when King Alexander objected after Les Miles beat the Aggies that night, a mistake that was swiftly corrected early the next season).
