Care to explain your problem with them?
For whole home audio that’s DIY, I can’t think of a competitor who’s close to taking their share.

Great post. Filled with details and explanations as to WTF you’re talking about. Would read again. 10/10

sorry- was torn up.
App continuously drops, very delayed volume control. This is a single speaker, albeit an older speaker, and it runs on the latest app (the gold one). Rebooted everything, better but still drops connection and volume control lags , just less frequently

I have 5 sonos zones - 3 amps, 1 move and 1 "one." The only zone that has ever given me issues is the "one" zone - because it is wireless and in the garage. When I bring it into the house, it has no problem.
I recently added a mesh router and was able to get better wifi coverage. Since then, no issues with the zone in the garage.
I would start by looking at your internet chain. What is your internet source (cable?) and speed? What kind of modem are you using? What model/type of router do you have? You could have a super fast internet connection but a very old wireless router. Just something to consider.
