I did mine myself. I’ve never really done work on my car before, and it couldn’t be more simple. You pretty much just take the wheel off, and unbolt the old one and slide it out, and slide the new one in and bolt it back in place.

For a mechanic who does this kind of work all the time, I’m sure they can knock it out very quickly. And they wanted to charge me something like $900 to do it.

I looked into this a couple of years ago. I was quoted 1300 dollars at a tire service place. The neighborhood mechanic charged about half that.
