Why would you mount a 7+ pounder? Or eat one?
Taxidermy shops can do a mount for you without the fish if you give them measurements.
I’ve had one bass skin mounted in my life, 11 lb, 8 oz, caught in 1983.
Released I can’t tell you how many 7+ lbers caught at Santee Cooper or the Cooper River.
