Yes. Wildlife is a public resource. If there are no penalties and repercussions, people like this will act with impunity until the resource is gone.

Big turtles grow slow, and reproduce late in life. They are extremely vulnerable to exploitation.

These people were ignorant, disgusting poachers, drug addicts, and welfare slobs. The word is better off without them.

Growing up we caught a pile of them and some really big ones, my pawpaw would almost wreck if he saw one crossing the road and catch it.
Sauce piquant and soup was very good and so was just smothered down in a gravy.
I’m a long way from a PETA but knowing how long it takes for them to get that big I won’t kill those big ones anymore.
