Home is up for renewal. Houston. I’ve used Texan Insurance for the last 3 years and they always said Progressive is my best bet. Progressive just went from $2k to $3k w the same policy and no claims. 2% deductible.

I asked to see the quotes from all the major carriers and Texan said they can only get them lower if I go to 5%.

Anyone like an independent agent that they can recommend?

Subtle brag.

I don't know the pricing in your local market but many of us would love to have that pricing on insuring our pool house, much less our main residence.

Good luck, solon.

Used an Independent last year - differences were negligible. Shopped and opted for Farmers. Just got the renewal, increased by $200. Might be worth a look. Am in North Texas, fwiw

Just renew it, $3k to be with an A rated carrier for home insurance during one of the hardest times to find coverage in the last 30 years is pretty darn good.
