From the LSU FAN perspective...

FIFY.

Posts like this help you to know who is/ was an athlete and a competitor and who isn't/ wasn't.

Understand, mon frere, the athletes are not fans who are keenly aware that their expectations of championship glory have been dashed and thus abandon all effort. At the D1 Power 5 level of competition, these guys live, eat, breathe, and sleep football. Elite athletes do not mail it in just because a potential championship is off the table.

Did you happen to note the outcome of the Raiders/ Giants game yesterday? Neither team has even a potential sniff of the post season in their future, and the athletes were still out there on the field giving their all. If we follow this logic...why do Vanderbilt and Moo State even field football teams? Why is Auburn even going to show up for the Iron Bowl? Competitors compete, period.

Now, if the team comes out flat and unmotivated against the Gators, that's on the coaching staff, not the athletes. Even in the face of such an obvious defensive scheme gaffe of not adjusting to put a spy on Milroe, I'm relatively confident that this staff will have the Tigers prepared to play Saturday. Whether they win or not may come down to another in-game adjustment - or failure to adjust - but a L won't be because the Tigers have "little to play for."

I doubt that changes your mind, but another 10-win season is a legitimate possibility, as well as another 1st-round drafted QB.

If Matt House is the DC, they could also lose to GSU.

We already know Dumbo Fisher owns house. UF had a great game last year against him too. JD5 beat UF last year.

So, yes, 7-5 is very likely at this time. Maybe even 6-6.
