This, to me, is beyond horrific strategy/game planning from the defensive staff

And to be honest, the one snap Womack got he rushed past Proctor (Bama LT) forcing Milroe to step up and scramble on a long 3rd down

It was reminiscent of what ojulari would do a season ago — forcing QBs from the pocket. Only Perkins wasn’t spying and thus Milroe picked up a big gainer on 3rd down.

These two have to play more as they are likely 2 of your 4 most talented defensive players.

I don't know what those morons are looking at, but Weeks not getting snaps after watching Speights get lost over and over and make poor attempts (if any at all) to tackle when guys approached him is pretty bad. If the guy you're going with is doing nothing right at all, what is the risk of playing the backup (who has looked better tackling, etc., in every game he has played in compared to Speights).

BK made deals to tranafers that he had to honor. That is the risk of transfer portal. Can't make deals and pull back or he won't get other transfers he wants. It is a business.

This and Speights is playing hurt. He’s going to be slow all season with a hip injury and he’s not fast to begin with. Weeks should definitely at least be splitting reps now.

This is another issue with House. He won’t play younger guys unless forced to do so. You don’t see that mentality at all on the offensive side of the ball, where key freshmen have played and started over more experienced guys when they are the better option both of the last two years.

You don’t know what these players know. You don’t see them in practice every day. You can argue against process but playing players who are the best trained and prepared IS the process. We have a lot of really good young raw talent. You may start seeing more of them now that a couple of goals are no longer attainable.

This is hard to even comment on...Kelly I am convinced doesn't have a clue how to recruit, scheme, discuss strategies with anybody on defensive side of the ball...Just a train wreck...I have seen better defensive schemes watching MAC Schools like Marshall...unreal to be very honest..We shuld be 9-0 and we have a defense that has cost us 3 ganmes alredy..what a waste, terrible HC job on this issue...

Exactly. He let the mouse out of the trap trying to get a perimeter sack.

Down vote me all you want that Defensive scheme is BAD, VERY BAD...You don't get many chances and we gave up 500+ yards, 40+ points, etc...Hopefully we win out but both SEC games will be difficult...

The problem- this wasn’t just a freshman mistake. All of the Jacks and Ends did the same shite all night.

Speights gets literally pushed out of plays. He’s weak and has no business starting. Anyone can see this but house keeps playing him. He knows the plays? Great, that’s not doing him any good. He’s getting tossed around like a rag doll on the field.

He got upfield and past the QB, yes absolutely

But it’s exactly how LSU played a year ago and helped what made Perkins special

Ojulari, Roy and Wingo would flush the QB, and Perkins would chase him down from the spy

That’s the point I was making.

I know but thats a bad take because Perk or anyone else was not spying. So that means womack was undisciplined which begs the argument the fresh are not ready.

I am so worried about these guys hitting the transfer portal. I hope BK is smart enough to let them see some playing time in these remaining three games.

I guess I have a different line of thinking.

When you’re this bad, give me the physically talented guy that has a chance to make a play, even if there are instances where he takes himself out of position.

I think there are definitely going to be east coast teams targeting Womack this offseason.
1) he’s not a 5 technique DE and that’s what LSU wants him to play
2) not having a solid foundation on the defensive side could lead him to looking around
