I did a topic search and found several topics and have written down the differnt Vietnamese restaurants in Baton Rouge. Hubby and I are going to Baton Rouge tomorrow evening and we love Vietnamese food. (Not much of that in Lafayette.)

One of the posts raved about Little Saigon but when I tried to look for it in the yellow pages on line, said there was no listing.

We've tried the Drunken Fish and we are not overly impressed.

So my question to the food gurus of Tiger Droppings Food and Drink board is the follwoing.

What are your recommendations for the best Vietnmamese in Baton Rouge. I have listed the following:
Pho Quynh
Little Saigon (get me an address if it still exists.
Cafe Dang
Duang Tawan
Other recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Drunken Fish is pretty bad. I like Pho Quynh. The staff is nice, it's a nice little place, and I really haven't had much reason to go anywhere else. I do need to try Saigon though.

Little Saigon is at the corner of Florida Blvd. and N. Sherwood Forest in the strip mall on the left.

Pho Quynh

Most authentic--great pho. Lots of other items that taste great, but will make you squeamish if you ask for the translation. No atmosphere.

Nor should you be. That's not authentic Viatnamese.

Duang Tawan

Going soon. I have heard nothing but great things from people who know good food.

The Thai Kitchen, although not Vietnamese, offers similar dishes and they have pretty decent sushi.

Pho Quynh is was good last time I wnet...but under new ownership that fooled with the menu.

Little Saigon (get me an address if it still exists...in a strip shopping center on Sherwood at Florida.

Duang Tawan is very good...but is Thai & sushi, not Viet.
