MTB is very expensive. n+1. Spent way too much on my last bike.

Was a road cyclist back in the day and yes much more more dangerous with cars/factors you can't control, but more cost effective since you really just need one bike and there's less moving parts that wear down over time. Often ask myself how I got into this sport and why.

I haven't ridden in about 5 years, but this was not my experience, haha. It was a money pit. Always wanted new wheels, the latest bike (to add, not replace), new power meter, upgraded components, etc..
