Or, “I would join but ain’t no DS gonna tell me what to do” lol. That brown round barks and your a-hole would pucker up, dummy.

And they were all “planning on joining” or “almost joined” the Marines, or Special Forces, or Navy SEALs.

Navy SEALs.

I had a friend that was this guy. Swore he was going to join and be a SEAL. Dude is nothing but a drunk and deadbeat dad and on the rare occasion I see him, he reminds me that he regrets not becoming a SEAL because becoming a SEAL is just a formality.

I was in Navy Seabees, went to Iceland in October ‘69 after boot camp and A school.
First 90 days there I had to do mess cook duty(kp in Army)
I was lucky in that I got sent to the hospital to take care of patient meals.

I got to know one of the corpsman pretty well.He had 3 years in,he told me there were 121 in his class at corpsman school.120 were sent to Viet Nam,most to serve with Marines. At that time 65 of his classmates were dead.
65 young men’s lives not to mention the other 58,000 +were snuffed out in the prime of their lives for some bullshite war.The MIC benefitted to be sure.

If he’s dead set on joining Air Force only one I would recommend.

National Guard is not too great.I know a guy was in 10 years, served a year in Afghanistan and a year in Iraq and was booted out because he refused the fake vax.
So much for his service.Over 8,000 soldiers and sailors were kicked out for refusing the vax that neither prevented Covid or stopped it’s transmission. Now military offering to let them back in,only 43 have accepted.
That should tell you something.
