I won't pretend to know the medical science behind these decisions. As a fan, I hate it. Yes, the point is to win, but its also to entertain and give the bill payers their money's worth. But you better win. I know they care about TV deals and not necessarily ticket sales. So, good luck with ticket sales if you are mediocre and your 23 year old star "rests".

Zion has missed ton of games and they been mediocre past couple of years. Pels in september said they were leading the league in ticket sales. I don’t know if this Zion rest stuff actually affects ticket sales.
