Cuz they will make us forfeit every game he plays in and then we'd have no shot at post season play in any capacity. We'd also ruin our chance of spoiling any other team's tourny chances.

I also assume that if we did play him anyway, they would start to fine the school and then if it continued they'd levy more punishments such as post season bans and loss of scholarships. These rulings would be swift too because the evidence will have been broadcasted on TV. Its not like a coach who may or may not have paid a player. Its clear to see if an ineligible player is playing.

I get that the NCAA is inconsistent and not as strong as they used to be but they are still the governing body in college sports and their rulings have to be adhered to.
