Highly sensitive people are no more susceptible to mental disorders than a narcissist or sociopath.

Obviously, the middle ground is great. Being able to establish boundaries, stay focused and undeterred in times and moments of stress, chaos or distress BUT also being empathetic, sympathetic, being comfortable and not scared enough to process different emotions whole continually monitoring how those emotions manifest themselves is a great blueprint.
