Does anyone think it's good that two-income households have become the norm? Penalizing them with taxes is harsh, but I can't imagine what else would be effective.

The other side of the coin is the idea you often hear from leftists of subsidizing day care for young children so that having a two-income household won't suck. Like, how the frick does that make any sense? A bunch of chicks go work at schools and day cares and drop their kids off at some other day school or day care so some other chick who dropped her kids off at some third school or day care can... it's a fricking nested Russian doll of stupidity. People need to accept doing domestic work and dealing with their own children.
