I've got an Old Timer Stockman that I got in the early 70's. I carry it every day. Carbon steel blades which I much prefer.

I have three Buck 110's, plus several Schrade USA equivalents. A Buck 110 is a great deer knife, maybe not the best for an 11 year old's first knife, though.
