If I’m invincible in this situation and can come back to my time whenever I want then I’d want to go to one of the major battles in the 2 world wars.

Christ, even if you couldn't be injured, you'd be better off reading more books and walking more ground in France and Belgium. Shell shock can FOAD. Me needs no part of any of that. Go to Bastogne in December. You don't need shelling to grok what it was like.
