Installed one just last weekend on my 4-ton home unit. Inrush amps went from 117 to 45. I put it in "default ramp" mode and the inrush was 19 amps, but their website says don't do that 
It was relatively easy to install, considering I'm not very good with electricity and have zero technical experience with hvac. My AC wiring didn't look anything like the youtube videos and I figured it out
