I guess if I had 5000k budget, I'd build a custom rifle. Not sure what action I'd start with. Maybe Defiance or Seekins.

I have a Bighorn Origin. I have a Remington 700 that's been blue printed and it's more accurate than the Origin.

ETA:

OP, I also have an AR-10 that I built with a Aimpoint Accupower 1-8x24.

The silencer fits on it as well and it's pretty stupid. My 19yr old daughter loves shooting it.

One more edit:
The AR is a .308 as well.
I don't think there is a better deer cartridge for the SE.
