I think people in general think they can change someone with marriage or a long-term relationship. Or aren’t mature enough to figure out what might be “exciting” while dating may not necessarily translate to a good, healthy relationship.
Given the divorce threads and bitching about women with their $3,000 Birkin’s, it seems this isn’t exclusive to women.

You got a hookup for real Birkins or even Kellys for $3,000 each? I will buy all they have and five you a nice 5 figure finders fee.
For the guy asking a Birkin is a Hermes bag (pocket book if you are old school) that has economics similar to a Rolex. You have to be found worthy by Hermes just to buy one new and it is worth a LOT more when you walk out of the store on the secondary market. The cheapest Birkins new are about $11k (and sell for mid-20s on the secondary market) and go up into the 6 figures. The cheapest Birkins you will find on the secondary market are mid-20s.
This is the Honus Wagner of Birkins (Himalayan Croc) and is worth about $500k
