re: Best place to stay in London

This is like asking where the best place in Yellowstone is to see the sights. London is HUGE and there are sights everywhere. What kind of budget and interests to do you have? IF you have ample budget and want to see palaces and such, stay near Pall Mall so you can walk to Buckingham Palace and Saville Row, etc... If you need to save some money, stay near Paddington or Kings Cross and ride the tube. London has great public transport.
