I first heard Gulf Coast Time on Radio Margaritaville several years ago and loved it. Did not realize until the last year or so that he was a country artist out of Texas. I had always assumed he was a Florida troprocker in the vein of The Boat Drunks or Sunny Jim White

Funny story. Back In the day at the old hanger/rendon inn we went to see roger Creager open for Jason Boland. The place was PACKED with coeds for Creager probably the most ppl at one time ever in that joint. When Creager was done they emptied. Ended up being like 6-10 of us left in there for Boland, who was bad arse btw. It was a great show. Miss those old Texas country days around south louisiana
