This is what many predicted took place. Few questions. How did he get the body out to sea? What happen to the block he crushed her with? What about the blood on the sand? How did investigators miss that?

He pushed it out 100 yards and let tides, currents, and animals do the rest. Not every beach is a panhandle beach, a lot more plausible in some areas.

Covered it up with other sand then maybe the tide washed it away? Wouldn't be hard to hide.

Did they know to look there? He said they got dropped off further away from her hotel, so it might not have been somewhere they thought to comb through the sand for buried blood. Did they use dogs the next day? That I don't know.

ETA:

Also the investigation was botched from the beginning. If the same events happened in the US, he would've been arrested, tried, and convicted IMO. They would've had 1000x the manpower and strategy during the first 24/48 hour investigation.
